Vallorcine holiday rentals are situated at the foot of Mont Blanc, adjacent to the Switzerland border, in the Departement of Haute-Savoie, in the Region of Rhône-Alpes.

The closest airport to holiday rentals in Vallorcine is Geneva, about an hour or so away by car (90 kilometres) and it is very easy to get there from the UK by air.

There are very few chalets and apartments to rent in Vallorcine, as the village is tiny.
I did, however, find a lovely old chalet to rent in Vallorcine, with 3 bedrooms. It is set in an extremely quiet location, ideal if you like cross country skiing and great views.
Whilst remote, the chalet is only a 3 minute drive from the train station which will take you to Chamonix and beyond.
Vallorcine Useful Information
You’ll find holiday rentals in Vallorcine are located in a picturesque little village with fewer than a thousand inhabitants, but because of the railway and the fact that the roads are regularly ploughed, you’ll not be cut off from civilisation.
The village itself is home to a few restaurants, but you’ll need to travel to Chamonix for much more than that, entertainment wise.
Vallorcine holiday rentals do, however, make a great base for cross country skiing and snow shoeing, and there’s also a cable car to take you up to the downhill ski slopes of the Domaine de Balme ski area. There’s even a ski school based in Vallorcine, should you need it.
