Holiday Rentals in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence - A Guide to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence
Your holiday rentals in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence are to be found around 20 kilometres south of Avignon, in the Departement of Bouches-du-Rhône, in the Region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
This is in the southeastern part of France, right near the Mediterranean coast. Saint-Rémy-de-Provence holiday rentals are also separated from the sea by the Alpilles mountains.
The nearest airport to your Saint-Rémy-de-Provence holiday rentals is Nîmes, which can be reached from London and Liverpool airports in the UK. You’ll need to hire a car when you get there, if you choose not to drive down.

Types of Holiday Rentals in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence
There is a good choice of property rentals in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence ranging from houses and villas to apartments. There are plenty of 4 and 5 bedroom houses to rent in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, useful if a large group are holidaying together, and they are surprisingly affordable for such a sought after hot and sunny area of France.
I found a great apartment to rent in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence for a few hundred pounds a week, situated in a large farmhouse in the countryside. It has one bedroom but can sleep 4 people, and is 4 kilometres from the town centre and shops.
Alternatively, if you fancy something slightly larger, I found a nice single storey 3 bedroom house to rent in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence with a swimming pool, still reasonably priced, and around a 10 minute walk from the town centre. It’s well apportioned with great furnishings and can sleep up to 7 people.
Saint-Rémy-de-Provence Useful Information
Your Saint-Rémy-de-Provence holiday rentals are in a town that dates back to Roman times, and as such, there are plenty of historical sights to see. The town was also a favourite of Vincent Van Gogh, who produced over 150 paintings of the area surrounding the town.
There are also some wonderfully restored town houses, weekly markets, quaint shops and the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Pitié (a 16th Century church which is now home to the paintings of Mario Prassinos).
Just outside your Saint-Rémy-de-Provence holiday rentals in the town, are the ruins of Glanum. They are one of the most important Greco-Roman excavations in France, and are still actively being uncovered.
Finally, I’d recommend taking a look at our ‘holiday rentals in Avignon’ page for further information on things to do near this lovely old town.
