6th Arrondissement of Paris - "Luxembourg"
Your holiday rental in the 6th Arrondissement of Paris will be situated on the southern side of the River Seine, adjacent to the very heart of the city.
The most efficient way to get to your 6th Arrondissement of Paris holiday rental would be by train. You can take the Eurostar from London to Paris Gare du Nord, then take the Paris Metro (underground train) to any one of 11 Metro stations in the Arrondissement to suit your final location.
You could of course take your own car instead to your 6th Arrondissement of Paris property rental. The drive from Calais takes about 2 and a half hours to the 6th Arrondissement, or a little less from Le Havre (but bear in mind that the Portsmouth to Le Havre ferry crossing is around 5 hours). The other thing to be weary of if taking your own car, is the large parking charges you’ll have to cover.
You could also fly to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, which is on the north side of Paris. From there, take the Metro as previously mentioned to your holiday rental in the 6th Arrondissement of Paris. If you are thinking of travelling outside of Paris on your trip, then I’d recommend hiring a car, otherwise stick to public transport, which is extremely good. Read our car hire guide page to see how to get the best deals on car hire in the 6th arrondissement of Paris.
Types of holiday rentals in the 6th Arrondissement of Paris
Given it’s central location, you’ll probably not be surprised to find out that it is only really possible to rent an apartment in the 6th Arrondissement of Paris. There is a huge choice of property to suit every budget, and most of them are one or two bedroom units. There are, however, a few with three bedrooms and some that can sleep 8 people.
I found a charming 1 bedroom apartment to rent on the Left Bank. It is on the third floor without a lift, due to the building being 17th century, but it’s location is second to none. Set back from the road, the apartment is quiet all the time, whilst being a stone’s throw from all the Left Bank’s cafes, bookstores, art galleries and small theatres. It is also just a 2 minute walk from the St Michel Metro station and is very reasonably priced.
If you fancy splashing out on a luxury trip to Paris, how about a designer 2 bedroom apartment to rent in St-Germain-des-Pres? Adjacent to the famous Pont Neuf bridge, this apartment is extremely well kitted out and would suit 2 families or 2 couples looking to stay in style. This, of course, comes at a price, but a worthwhile one.
