16th Arrondissement of Paris - "Passy"
Your holiday rentals in the 16th Arrondissement of Paris will be located on the western edge of central Paris, next to the River Seine.
The most efficient way to get to your holiday rentals in the 16th Arrondissement of Paris would be by train, particularly if you live close to London, or any other Eurostar terminal for that matter. The Eurostar goes straight from London to Paris Gare du Nord, which is to the north east of the 16th Arrondissement, then the Paris Metro (underground train) will take you to whichever of the 13 Metro stations is nearest to your destination.
It’s easy enough to take your own car to your 16th Arrondissement of Paris holiday rentals. It takes around 2 and a half hours to drive to the 16th Arrondissement from Calais, or a little less time from Le Havre (however, the Portsmouth / Le Havre ferry takes around 5 hours). Be aware also, if taking your own car, that you’ll have to pay for parking all the time you stay there, unless you choose your 16th Arrondissement of Paris holiday rentals with a parking space, though this is unusual (see below for one I found).
If you choose to fly, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, which is on the north side of Paris, would be the destination of choice. From there, you can easily take the Metro as mentioned previously to your 16th Arrondissement of Paris holiday rentals. If you are considering visiting destinations outside of Paris, then I’d recommend car hire, otherwise it’s best to use the public transport, which is very good.

Types of holiday rentals in the 16th Arrondissement of Paris
Since the 16th Arrondissement is near the centre of the city, you can only really rent an apartment in the 16th Arrondissement of Paris. I have found a few houses to rent, but they are few and far between. The apartments usually have 1 or 2 bedrooms, but there are a few available with more, at a price.
I found a lovely one bed apartment to rent near the Arc de Triomphe (around 1 kilometre away). It can sleep 4 people if necessary, and is reasonably priced, particularly for Paris. It also benefits from having a balcony and is conveniently located for shopping.
Another 1 bed apartment jumped out at me whilst researching. Again close to the Arc de Triomphe, this apartment has a lockable garage at your disposal for a small fee, which is excellent if you are thinking of driving to Paris. This 19th century apartment on the fourth floor is serviced by a lift and is in a typically Parisian narrow street lined with small shops, and is superbly decorated in a modern style throughout. The price is about average for the area.
Paris 16th Arrondissement Useful Information
Your 16th Arrondissement of Paris holiday rentals will be situated in a predominantly residential area, which is densely populated in the eastern half. The western half of the Arrondissement is entirely made up of the Bois de Boulogne, which is the second largest park in Paris.
The Arrondissement is also home to several famous sports stadia, including the Parc des Princes (Paris Saint-Germain football team’s home) and the Roland Garros Stadium where the French Open tennis tournament is held.
Your holiday rentals in the 16th Arrondissement of Paris will also be near to the Eiffel Tower (just over the Pont d’Iéna across the River Seine), Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées to the north and is home to at least nine museums. I should also mention that the Avenue Foch runs through the Arrondissement from the Arc de Triomphe in the north, down to Porte Dauphine on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne and is the widest street in Paris.
