Holiday Rentals in Haut-Rhin - A Guide to Haut-Rhin
Holiday rentals in Haut-Rhin are based in the southern part of the region of Alsace. Alsace itself is in the east of France, and Haut-Rhin borders Germany and the river Rhine to its east. In the south, the departement borders Switzerland, whilst to the west it is bordered by the Vosges mountain range.
If driving to your Haut-Rhin holiday rentals, the nearest French ports are Dunkirk, Calais and Dieppe, and you will probably use the A4 and Euroroute E35 to get to the area. If you prefer to fly then Basel-Mulhouse offers flights from Stansted and Dublin on Ryanair, and from London Gatwick on Easyjet.
There is also a high speed TGV train from Paris to Colmar which takes less than 3 hours. So, there are plenty of options for travelling to your holiday rentals in Haut-Rhin.
Types of Holiday Rentals in Haut-Rhin
Apartments to rent in Haut-Rhin are the most popular type of properties and these tend to sleep up to 4 people. I came across a very spacious 2 bedroom apartment to rent in Munster, a small commune with a population of around 5,000, which is part of a private house. It has a private terrace and balcony with panoramic views of the surrounding area.
The apartment is located on the first floor and has a fully equipped kitchen, large dining and living area and a double and twin bedroom. There is an en-suite to the twin room and also a separate toilet elsewhere in the apartment.
If you fancy somewhere a little more lively, how about an apartment to rent in Colmar, the driest city in France! I found a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment to rent here. The apartment is in the centre of town and has a private parking space. The property has a sofa bed so can sleep up to 6 people, and there is also dining space for 6. The interior is nicely finished and has white walls and beamed ceilings. The kitchen is fully equipped and also benefits from a washing machine and dryer. As well as the 2 bathrooms there are also 2 separate toilets.
The apartment is ideally located for exploring the pretty town of Colmar, also known as “Little Venice” because of its network of canals which criss-cross the town. Haut-Rhin apartments to rent are aplenty because of its popularity for skiing, so wherever you wish to stay, you will find lots of choice available.
