Holiday Rentals in Grimaud - A Guide to Grimaud

Your holiday rentals in Grimaud are a great location for a base if you are exploring the French Riviera. It is a medieval village located within the Var departement, is perched on top of a hill overlooking the bay of the Golfe de Saint Tropez.

The quickest way to get there from the UK is to fly into Toulon to the southwest or Nice to the northeast. Either way it is a short car journey to your Grimaud holiday rental. I would definitely recommend having a car at your disposal, as you will need it to navigate the hilly, windy roads that are notorious in the Cote d’Azur.

Types of Holiday Rentals in Grimaud

The majority of properties available are villas to rent in Grimaud or houses to rent in Grimaud. And given the proximity to the Saint Tropez, many are glamorous and on the large side.

One property, which would be suitable for a film star or perhaps you, your friends and family, is situated between Grimaud and the sea resort of Port Grimaud. It sleeps up to 10 people, has a large garden, sun terrace, and heated pool and is only a 15-minute drive from St. Tropez. It is stunning and will give you a taste of the Hollywood star lifestyle!

Or maybe you want to experience the village life in Grimaud itself. There is a charming house newly refurbished to a high standard with 3 bedrooms and roof terrace – right at the heart of the village. It is close to restaurants (including the Michelin star Les Santons), galleries and shops.

Grimaud Useful Information

Grimaud is a beautiful village with ancient houses, winding streets and Castle Grimaud, which sits at the top of the hill. The village is considered to be the richest village in the area, with houses owned by people of all nationalities. When considering whether a holiday rental in Grimaud is right for you, you should consider that the steep streets are not for everyone, although there is a lift in the centre that can take you from the lower end to the main square.

5km from the village centre is Port Grimaud, a recent addition to the area. It is a marina-village where every house is designed to mirror a traditional Provencal home. Holiday rentals in Port Grimaud are very popular and as all houses have private moorings do not come cheap.

It is a stunning area and I think that a holiday rental in Grimaud would be a perfect location to experience all that the area has to offer.
