They tend to range from 3 to 5 bedrooms, however there are some extremely large cottages with 7 or 8 bedrooms. The larger properties and most of the smaller ones have swimming pools and prices appear to be very reasonable considering the high quality of the cottages on offer.
There are a couple of houses to rent in Fumel too, but in actual fact, the difference between ‘house’ and ‘cottage’ is hard to see. The houses I found ranged from 1 to 4 bedrooms and the largest was extremely well decorated and has a real quality feel about it.
Fumel Useful Information
You’ll find your Fumel holiday rentals are in a small village, but boasting ownership of two castles.
The really impressive one is in fact in neighbouring Saint-Front-sur-Lemance, but is owned by the commune of Fumel.
The castle is called the Chateau de Bonaguil and was built in the 13th Century, then completely restructured in the 15th Century and sits impressively atop a rocky promontory.
