Holiday Rentals in Finistere - A Guide to Finistere
Holiday rentals in Finistere are situated in the westernmost part of mainland France. It gets its name from the Latin – Finis Terrae – meaning ‘Land’s End’ and is comparable to ‘Land’s end’ on the opposite side of the Channel. Sandy beaches, towering cliffs and small ports surround the coastline whereas much of central Finistere is occupied by the Parc Régional d’Armorique – heath land, farms and forests.
The simplest way to travel to your Finistere holiday rentals is via the ferry from the UK. Roscoff and St Malo are in Brittany itself but why not take advantage of the French roads and travel from Cherbourg and Le Havre. Simply take the A84 from Le Havre and head west to your Holiday rentals in Finistere towards Rennes where you will transfer onto smaller roads. There are also great train links throughout France which are a great way to tour the country.
If you choose to fly, then Rennes, Nantes and Brest airports are your most direct route from the UK – but note there are no flights from London.
