It is home to a magnificent Cathedral, famous mainly for its world-renowned stained glass. Donated in the early 13th Century, over 150 windows illustrate biblical life and daily life of the people who lived at the time. The windows were dismantled during both World Wars for safety and have since been restored. The city is also one of the first urban conservation centres – with quirky half-timbered houses, cobbled streets and stone bridges.
