The Écrins National Park is france’s largest, covering an area of over 900 square kilometres, and rises to a maximum height of 4102m at the Barre des Écrins. This peak is in fact the most southerly in Europe that rises over 4000m, has a glacier on it’s north face, and is loved by climbing enthusiasts.
