I found a lovely average priced house to rent in Carces with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, complete with it’s own swimming pool. 
It has great views over the adjacent lake and also has air conditioning for those hot summer days.
Alternatively, there’s a lovely 2 bedroom apartment to rent in Carces which is very reasonably priced, with shared use of a pool and tennis court. It is situated in a quiet location within easy access of the village centre, in an ideal location for hiking.
Carces Useful Information
Carces holiday rentals are located in a medieval village, somewhat more spread out than is usually found in this area of France.
There isn’t a great deal to explore in the village itself, though there are a lot of stone arches and walls from medieval times and winding narrow streets.
Holiday rentals in Carces are a great base for exploring the region, and you’re able to reach the sea or the ski resort of Les Arcs in less than an hour, making the village a good base all year round.
