The village of Callac is a provincial market town in central Brittany. There is a weekly market, a few bars and cafés plus a bakery, butchers and small supermarket.
The area around Callac is stunning countryside with lakes and forests to explore. Lac de Guerledan has safe beaches, which are ideal for children plus a great day out for anyone who enjoys water sports. In fact Callac is also the start point for Europes 3rd largest cycling event – Pierre le Bigaut event, a charity race to raise money for the fight against cystic fibrosis.
On the evening of the event the town is a great place to socialise with a fete de crepe. The local towns of Caurel and Pontivy plus the lake are great places for good dining and bars. Holiday rentals in Callac are really a family event – great countryside, entertainment and activities – the only uncertain thing is the weather!
