Location Description
Ventabren is a charming village, perched at the top hill and dominated by the ruins of the Chateau of Queen Jeanne.
Ventabren boasts a picturesque Provencal backdrop and countryside. In the village you will quickly fall under the spell of the little cobbled streets, full of flowers and lined by beautiful stone houses.
Ventabren is unique in that it boasts the largest stone aqueduct in the world. The Roquefqvour Aqueduct was constructed in 19th century by young 26 year old engineer Franz Mayor de Montricher to transport water from Durance to Marseille.
Things to see in Ventabren: 17th century church, remains of the Chateau of Queen Jeanne, the Old Mill, Roquefqvour Aqueduct, Ventabren Museum.
