I've written about many different villages in the Beaujolais area of Rhone in France. Holiday rentals in Odenas are similar to these other villages in that you'll find yourself situated amongst seemingly never-ending vineyards, producing many different varieties of Beaujolais wine (see photo).

Any of the villages will provide a great holiday base from which to explore the area and plan your wine sampling days.

Rental prices here are relatively cheap and you'll have convenient access to the A6 Autoroute to make travelling to nearby towns such as Lyon really easy.

Whether you like to ski or hike, you'll find this quaint little village has enough shops and restaurants, whilst remaining distinctly 'villagey'.

If you fancy the quiet life, then a holiday rentals in La Pacaudiere could be for you. It is a small village in the Loire and has all the basic amenities to survive on a self-catering holiday.

It is close to several golf courses and the countryside lends itself well to walking and cycling.

Vaux-en-Beaujolais holiday rentals are located in another fairly small village in eastern France. Approximately an hour's drive north east of Lyon.

If you have the urge to ski, but don't like the idea of giving up your valuable vacation time purely to the cold, you may find holiday rentals in Isola 2000 to your liking.

The relatively small ski resort is only an hour and a half from the Mediterranean coast at Nice, allowing you the option of both beach days and ski days in the same holiday.

A historic holiday rentals in Charlieu

The town of Charlieu in the Loire Valley is a beautiful spot to explore the historical nature of the area. The Abbey that the village was built around in the 9th Century, is the centerpiece for a town rich in historical buildings, cobbled streets and great shops and restaurants. Saint-Forgeux Holiday Rentals

Saint-Forgeux holiday rentals are situated in another very quiet location in eastern France. Approximately 45 minutes drive north east of Lyon.

There are a very limited number of holiday rentals available, but what are available are almost certainly going to be in a very peaceful location surrounded by fantastic countryside.

The picture show a holiday chalet I did find that has great views all round.

Ouroux Holiday Rentals

Ouroux holiday rentals are located in a very small village in the eastern part of France. Not alot to do locally but some fairly large towns are nearby to keep you occupied.

Most of the holiday rentals are situated in very rural areas with some great views over the surrounding countryside as the photo shows.

Villard de Lans holiday rentals

Holiday rentals in Villard de Lans are perfect for the whole family. There are around 100km of great ski trails, modern ski lifts, ice rinks and snow park; not to mention the casino, restaurants, cinema and kids club.

There are a great number of apartments and chalets to rent in the village and there is something for everyone, even if you prefer the apres ski!

St-Etienne-sur-Reyssouze Holiday Rentals

For a quiet and idyllic setting try St-Etienne-sur-Reyssouze holiday rentals. Located in eastern France about 4.5 hours drive down from Paris.

Two of the major toursit attractions are close by:

Futuroscope Theme Park (25.0 miles), which uses audio-visual technology to create breathtaking and informative special effects. The photo shows the Imax cinema within the park.

Zoodyssee (26 miles) which is one of Europe’s largest animal parks set in the forest of Chize. Vegetation appropriate to the habitat of the animal has been planted to give them as close to a natural environment as possible.

Holiday rentals in Neuilly-Plaisance

A holiday rental in Neuilly-Plaisance is within a commune in the suburbs of Paris. It is perfectly located for trips into the centre of the capital and to Euro-Disney. However it is not a tourist destination in itself hence the lack of good properties to rent, and the area is not easy on the eye.

Holiday rentals in Saint-Didier-sur-Rochefort

Holiday rentals in Saint-Didier-sur-Rochefort are located in a rural part of the Loire department of France.

The village is small and unspoilt, yet well placed for access to some small ski resorts usually only used by locals. These resorts are removed from the usual tourist areas and skiing there is easy; a great place for beginners, with easy runs and short queues.
