Your holiday rental in Pierrevert has something for everyone, no matter how you choose to experience Provence.

If you are holidaying in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence this summer, the Roman spa town of Greoux-les-Bains might be worth a visit.

The 12th Century Templar Chateau which stands on the top of the hill, hosts outdoor theatre, cinema and concerts in the summer months. St-Rémy-de-Provence

Having just written our holiday rentals in St-Rémy-de-Provence page, I was surprised at how much history there is in such a small place.

St Rémy was built on the old Roman town of Gallum, which is still being uncovered, and many famous artists have spent time in St Rémy and the surrounding beautiful countryside, including none other than Van Gogh.

Perfect in Provence

Stunning is the only way to describe the landscape that surrounds the village of Banon, located within the departement of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

One of its main sources of income is lavender and the area is flooded with field after field of it. It is truly a spectacular scene but make sure if you are holidaying in the area you arrive at the right time of year.

Catherine Webb discovers the department of Puy-de-Dome

Pretty much right smack bang in the middle of France, the department of Puy-de-Dome sits in the region of Auvergne, famous for it's famous dormant volcano.
