A holiday rental in Vaison-la-Romaine is a must if you have an interest in archaeology. It is located either side of the banks of the River Ouveze and is the jewel of Roman Provence, with many ruins of the ancient Roman town including homes, moasics, statues and baths.

However it is also a thriving modern town, hosting dance, theatre and arts events throughout the year. This is truly a destination in its own right and a place that I would love to explore.
